Darrin D. Davis has been successfully active in the Washington Metropolitan real estate business for over twenty years. He was a top producing Realtor with Capitol Hill's Prudential Carruthers Realtors. Recognized a community leader, Davis is a vocal & active member of the East of the Anacostia community. In 2004, Washington, DC's former mayor, Anthony Williams lauded Davis as Main Street Anacostia's Volunteer of the Year. He is affiliated with R.E.E.L. (River East Emerging Leaders). In 2015, Davis received the "Commitment to Community" Award from the Great Streets Business Leadership Council in 2017.
In 2011, Davis served as the Vice-President for the Washington, DC Chapter of the Washington Real Estate Broker's Association. In 2013, he completed serving a three-year term on the District of Columbia Association of Realtors Board of Directors. He is also a founding board member of DC Garden District Community Development. A group dedicated to developing the Pennsylvania Ave. SE commercial corridor east of the Anacostia River in DC. Davis was appointed by DC Mayor, Muriel Bowser as a Commissioner on the District of Columbia Real Estate Commission. He also served on the board of directors for Anacostia Business Improvement District (BID) and Anacostia Playhouse.
In addition to being profiled in the Washington Business Journal, Davis has been featured in the HGTV reality series, "My First Sale" in 2011. This episode marked the first time that HGTV filmed in a DC neighborhood east of the Anacostia River. Davis has also appeared in the HGTV series, "House Hunters". He has also been featured in the Washington Blade, The Washingtonian Magazine, East of the River Magazine. He is regularly quoted in the local Washington, DC media as an area expert.
